The inspiration behind the name.

 

Prohibited Cocktails is a play on the word Prohibition, referencing the dark period in American history when the sale, production, importation, and transportation of alcohol was made illegal.

 

The popularity of cocktails grew immensely during the Prohibition Era, where the foul taste of inferior liquors were masked by mixing them with fruit juices, sodas, sugar and bitters.

 

Now aren’t you glad alcohol ain’t illegal in Singapore(yet)?

 

Cocktails are in fact secretly prohibited from our private parties and events in Singapore due to the prohibitively high prices of bartending services from traditional companies.

 

Thus, Prohibited Cocktails was born to rebel against the "prohibition", by providing Bespoke Mixology services to the good folk of Singapore.
